Fall & PV Installation Safety Course

All installers who are working on roofs must have Fall Safety Training and Certification. All Solar installers should also demonstrate they have received proper safety training in order to participate in the handling, mounting and connection of rooftop or ground mounted solar systems. All installers who are working on roofs must have Fall Safety Training and Certification.

Join HES PV at our location and receive installer training and Certification for Fall and PV Installation Safety. During this one day course attendees will learn how to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations and will receive adequate training in the hazards of solar projects and situations.

PV & Fall Safety Syllabus:

  • Responsibilities of Employer/Supervisor/Worker
  • Safety requirements for the PV industry
  • Fundamentals of electrical hazards
  • Pre-installation checks and emergency plan and first aid.
  • Proper equipment on site
  • Protection equipment for personnel
  • Safety plans and site documentation
  • Fall protection requirements in the use of fall protection equipment
  • The safe handling, use and transport of materials
  • The safe use of ladders
  • Hazards and controls while working on slope roofing
  • Hazards and controls while working at the edge of the roof
  • Hazards and controls while working around covered skylights

At the end of the course Attendees will be tested and upon a successful result receive their PV Safety Certificate.
