Ontario’s Green Energy Act offers the people of Ontario a unique opportunity: selling solar electricity! The Ontario Power Authority (OPA) will buy electricity produced from FIT (10-100kW) Solar Systems on your roof at a rate of 54.8¢ per kilowatt-hour, or larger FIT Systems (100-500kW) at a rate of 53.9¢ per kilowatt-hour. The result is a steady income stream for the next 20 years 20 years, which helps phase out dirty coal by replacing it with clean solar energy.
